Why Should You Do a Boudoir Shoot

Let’s be real, there’s no wrong reason to do a boudoir photography shoot. Our clients get inspiration from all sorts of places. Sometimes it’s a personal goal to step outside your comfort zone, sometimes it’s giving yourself the chance to do something that’s just for you, and we’ve even had post-breakup and divorce shoots.

We know sometimes it can be hard to take the leap even when it’s something you really want, so here’s some inspiration for you to give yourself the gift of a boudoir photography shoot.

Do it for yourself

We mean it when we say you don’t need a reason to book a boudoir shoot! Inspired by your own beauty, feeling confident, wanting some new wall art - whatever you want, you got it. Our clients have booked shoots to celebrate radical self-acceptance, reward themselves for reaching a goal, or just to do something that’s all about them.

Give a special gift

We happen to think that boudoir photography shoots are a great gift for yourself, but you can share your final product with someone special. Boudoir albums, prints, and wall art make great gifts for your SO or spouse whether it’s for an anniversary, Valentine’s day, birthday, or just because. It’s also a sweet treat to deliver on your wedding day.

Enjoy a new experience

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed what “new experiences” look like. If it’s been a while since you’ve stepped outside of your comfort zone or tried something new, booking a boudoir shoot is a great way to get a little excitement in your week.

It’s great if you come to the studio with ideas for your shoot, and most of our clients find something that feels comfortable. But we love to push you to try something new so you can enjoy an unexpected surprise for yourself, too!

Whatever the inspiration for your boudoir photoshoot, what’s most important is that your photographer is there to lift you up and celebrate you exactly as you are.
